Our story starts back in the 1980’s when a young Dr. Nathan Maxson decided to start his own clinic after working with his brother-in-law many years. After Dr. Maxson founded Beechcrest Animal Clinic, he met and helped many people and their beloved pets. He was well respected and well known in his community. In 2015 Dr. Maxson retired and Dr. Waqar Hassan bought his clinic. Since then Dr. Hassan has helped the clinic expand and introduced technology and new treatments to better help his patients.
Although Dr. Hassan had big shoes to fill, he did not fall short in making connections with each of his clients. Many people fought the idea of a new vet, but he pushed on and many of his clients today wouldn’t have anyone else taking care of their furry friends.

Dr. Waqar Hassan
DVM
Having been a Veterinarian for more than a decade, Dr. Hassan finally settled at Beechcrest animal clinic. As his first clinic, Beechcrest has become a home for him and his patients. He provides the best care for each pet and takes care of each client with compassion.
Elisa Esparza

After leaving Beechcrest for half a year, Elisa decided that helping animals was her true calling,and what better place to go back than to her family at Beechcrest. Starting at Beechcrest as a normal high school student, Elisa learned and achieved to become a strong, confident technician, and still learning much more.
Jesus Medina
Tech
A marine vet with a compassion for animals, Jesus uses his strength and ability to help with big, aggressive dogs, and sometimes those vicious Chihuahuas. Not only does he help with the patients, Jesus also provides help with the structure of the clinic. Whether they’re paint jobs, loose tiles or a light bulb changes, Jesus is always there to help.
Vivian Venegas

Vivian is one of the newest technicians to be added to our family. She handles each patient with ease and love. Vivian worked her way up from a student to technician and still loves to learn along the way. Not only is she knowledgeable, she is one of our best photographers, so be ready to smile!
Jan Gartland
Tech
As one of the longest working technicians here, Jan is someone you cannot forget. She provides warmth and comfort not only to the pet, but to the owners as well. She is the backbone in our facility making sure everything runs smoothly by ordering medications, handling reminders, and of course keeping the technicians in check.
Joana Cruz

After years of searching for a clinic, Joana finally found one she was comfortable in. Not only was Beechcrest a great match, it was a place she could actually call home. Although already knowledgeable, Joana began to learn new things and continued to grow. She can handle any pet handed to her, either big or small. Joana has confidence in everything she does, and can assure each client their pet will be treated with care.
